Kotagede Royal Route: Mataram Kingdom Cycling Tour

A three-hour guided cycling route through Kotagede, the old capital of the Mataram Kingdom, and the lanes around it. The ride covers 11 km at an easy pace, with a road captain leading the group. The stops tell the story of the district: the heritage of Kotagede and the Mataram Kingdom, the labyrinth of narrow lanes in the old settlement, a clear river full of fish, everyday neighbourhood life, a traditional market, and a cooking visit to see kembang waru being made. Two sessions run daily, one at 07.00 and one at 14.30, and each lasts three hours. Bicycles, helmets, a road captain, games and challenges, local snacks and drinks, an eco-string bag, first aid and rain coats, and a contribution to the sustainability action fund are all included. Hotel transport to the meeting point, documentation, lunch and guide tips are not included. A photographer can be added for IDR 400.000. Children aged 7 to 11 ride at the child rate, and children aged 2 to 6 at the kids rate. Children under 2 join free and must be carried by the family.
