Trek an active volcano before dawn, then soak in natural hot springs as the sun comes up over the caldera. This is the Mount Batur Sunrise Trek paired with the Batur Natural Hot Springs - one of Bali's most popular active trips, run by a Kintamani-based team who have guided the mountain since childhood. We pick you up at your hotel and drive you to the starting point at The Cintamani Kitchen & Bar in Toya Bungkah village, Kintamani. Your English-speaking guide briefs you on the route and safety, then leads the climb by flashlight up the trail to the crater summit. You reach the top for sunrise over the caldera and Lake Batur, with eggs boiled in volcanic steam and warungs selling hot tea and coffee at the summit. We descend back to The Cintamani Kitchen & Bar, then continue to the Batur Natural Hot Springs for a relaxing soak in the scenery before the return trip to your hotel in an air-conditioned car or mini-bus.
