Pangkalanbun: 1-Night Tarsier Trekking Tour
A one-night herping tour through the peat swamp and lowland forest around Pangkalan Bun, run across two locations in a single evening. Six to seven hours on foot with a local guide, leaving at 18:00 from Pangkalan Bun or Kumai and finishing after midnight. The first location carries the density: litter frog, flower pot toad, mangrove frog, grass frog, peat swamp frog, lesser swamp frog, green paddy frog, reticulated python, mock viper, puff-faced water snake and rainbow water snake, along with geckos and lizards. The second is tarsier land, where the target is the Bornean tarsier. Bornean sticky frog, Malayan flying frog, litter frog and spotted marsh frog are also recorded on the same trails. Pickup and drop-off are by motorbike or car, departures are private for one person or a small group, larger groups can be arranged on request, and bookings run year-round.
